In 1971-1972 Li Chung-Jun's tomb was excavated, one the largest Tang Dynasty tombs found to date, providing documentation regarding the struggle between the Confusian and Legalist schools. The Li Hsien tomb presents murals depicting social and political life of their time as well as insight into the historical development of ancient Chinese painting.
