"Jones of Nayland" was one of the prominent churchmen of his day. He represented the school more numerous than is commonly supposed, which formed the link between the non-juror and the later Oxford School (see: DNB). His Nayland Vicarage became the center of that circle which came to be known as the "High Church Party". This book attacked determinism and the natural philosophy principles of Newton.
