Volume I: Limited edition, copy 43 of 130 with a print of the etching of Mr. Granville Barker, signed by Strang; Supplement, Limited edition, one of 300. Vol.I illustrated with 544 reproductions; *Supplement illustrated with 179 reproductions. The Supplement compiled by Strang brings the etchings catalogued up to the year 1920, and includes a number of items dated before 1912 but omitted in that volume. Catalogue of Etchings, Alphabetical Index of Etchings, and Index of Subjects appear in both volumes. His etchings for the "Pilgrims Progress", "Ancient Mariner" were highly praised. He also illustrated some of Rudyard Kipling's stories. He was one of the original members of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers. In 1902 together with his fellow Scot, D.Y. Cameron resigned from the Society in protest against the inclusion in its exhibitions of etched or engraved reproductions of pictures.
