Np: Np, ca 1860. Cardboard Covers. 16.5 x 16.5 cm. Front cover with background lettering -- Prince of Wales, Royal Humane Society and Irving and Brown Coal Company. The interior four panel concertina-style (leporello) between card covers, etchings with aquatint in original hand coloring extending to 48 cm, depicting figures promenading inside the tunnel. There are three circular peep holes in the blue bordered front depicting the exterior of the tunnel. Back board cover in diaper patterned dark salmon. Dampstain to front cover. As issued. Very good.
