London: Hannah Humphrey, April 14th, 1803. Hardcover. 14 x 10.5 inches print size, in glass frame 22 x 17.5 inches (3 inch mat) ready for hanging. Etching and stipple engraving with hand-colouring. Mrs. Billington, who was as famous for her size as she was for her musical ability is shown serenading the Duke of Portland, with whom she lived, at his mansion at Bulstrode. Gillray's prose, " Blessed as the immortal Gods is he, The Youth who fondly sits by thee, And sees and hears thee all the while, Softly sing and sweetly smile." Print coloring fresh and bright.
