Limited edition, copy 177 of 1000, signed by Anton Bruehl in black ink on first page after the title page. Twenty-five full-page collotype reproductions all on rectos of Plain BFK Rives watermarked sheets. Bruehl on his photographs -- "They do not undertake to present Mexico....To me the beauty of this country lies in the people of the land and their simple mode of living." Bruehl's work serves as both a companion and counterpoint to the Mexico portfolio of Paul Strand published 1940. Goldl label back cover reads, "This book chosen by Jury For The Exhibit Of American Book Illustration 1931-1933 American Institute Of Graphic Arts." Clean, fresh copy.
