Half titles, hand colored frontispiece and 24 hand colored aquatints unsigned, but engraved by Clark. Clark's plates were originally issued separately in a portfolio; Abbey treats them as a separate work which is usually bound with Jarvis's translation. ABBEY LIFE 238. Two volumes with endpapers renewed, text clean, plates bright. Raised bands, spine panels richly gilt with arabesques, double gilt border panels. Corner wear. Contemporary full brown calf rebacked, original spines laid-down, some loss head and foot. Very good 4 Vols. Item #23708
