Originally serialized anonymously in Household Words between 25 January 1851 and 10 December 1853. Topham was also one of Dickens's company of actors in 1850. He also engraved landscapes for Bartlett and Allom. Bound by Brentano's. Raised bands, inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, spine panels lettered in gilt with interior contents very bright and fresh.
